We all go through the phases, lets try a new diet this week. And it works and then we stop, go back to our old ways and end up right where we started.
So are diets fad or fiction.
In 2016 I went through several different phases before figuring out what worked for me.
A background on me is I currently am on metformin for my polycystic ovary syndrome or PCOS, I have also been diagnosed with endometriosis. Just your normal woman problems.
At the start of 2016 I started on cutting fast food and procesed sugars out of my diet, this went well but I only put on weight and ended up giving up. Then in June I started eating a clean diet and used fresh foods which was filling and great and wasnt considered a diet rather a lifestyle change. This worked intially but then didn’t and I gained it all back. Finally I decided to go see my doctor in late november where she gave me a high protein low carb diet. Now this worked very well and the only thing that stopped this was the holiday period.
Now I’m not saying everyone should go on this diet, not at all. I’m suggesting that if you have had trouble in the past go and see your doctor and see if theres anything thats holding you back.
For me diets are terrible with the false hope and all that but I have found something that works for me and after you have reached your ideal stats and then change your lifestyle.
In the end your body is yours to do with what you please, dont let anyone tell you different.
